Move over blush and pastels—2025 is all about rich, moody elegance, and we’re here for it. One of the most unexpected yet totally luxe hues to take over weddings this year? Dark chocolate. This deep, sultry tone is pure sophistication, bringing warmth, depth, and a little bit of indulgence to the wedding palette. If you’re dreaming of a celebration that’s equal parts timeless and trend-forward, this editorial featuring sumptuous brown wedding colors is chef’s kiss perfection. Lauren Anne and designer Pretty in White Events sent over this scrumptious wedding inspiration with a color palette that’s sure to WOW, featuring one of our favorite cake designers, Celeste Scott.

We’ve been seeing so much gorgeous draping lately, and we are here for it. This editorial’s ceremony setup takes it to the next level, with flowing layers of rich brown fabric creating an ultra-romantic backdrop.

And the pièce de résistance: the cake. A tiered beauty draped in decadent chocolate ganache that oozes down its sides, this confection is as delicious as it is dramatic. Rich, glossy, and effortlessly chic, it sets the tone for a wedding that’s all about indulgence. And the white frosting is a cheeky nod to the wedding traditions they opted out of, contrasting in all the right ways with the experimental design. Plus, if brown wedding colors are involved in your design concept, a chocolate cake is kind of a requirement, right?

There’s something about the fluidity of silk that just screams romance. Dark chocolate-hued silk draped across tables, tied around chairs, or cascading from an altar creates a scene that’s as dreamy as it is modern. We already knew luxe layers and lots of draping would be huge in 2025, but this takes it to a whole new lelve.

We love a good dessert table moment, and this one does not disappoint. Think hand-rolled truffles, dark chocolate meringues, and dark chocolate chunk cookies. Whether styled in a modern minimalist way or piled high in a more-is-more display, this spread is the definition of sweet sophistication.

Feeling inspired? The beauty of these dark brown wedding colors is that they work on any scale. Add subtle nods with dark chocolate-colored taper candles, silk ribbons, or bridesmaid dresses in luxe mocha tones. Or, if you’re ready to go all in, a chocolate-dripped cake, silk-draped altar, and a warm-toned tablescape will set the perfect scene for a wedding filled with richness and romance.
