The idea of a picnic engagement session with the cityscape behind you is already a pretty romantic concept in itself, don’t you think? Both Jessica of Jessica Quadra Photography + Ashley of Chic and Pretty Events loved the idea for Tanya + Alfredo’s engagement, but wanted to give it more of an editorial spin with a styled table and fresh flowers—all set up against a downtown Dallas backdrop.
Tanya + Alfredo had a walk downtown, then sat down for their picnic, with deep reds, blues, and an oatmeal knitted blanket adorning the table.
Jessica says, I loved the idea of shooting an editorial style engagement in downtown Dallas, and after bouncing ideas back and forth with Ashley, we thought ending the shoot showcasing the Dallas skyline would be perfect. We wanted it to feel sweet and intimately styled. After scouting for a couple weeks, I found the perfect spot near the Trinity River floodplain in downtown—charming and off the beaten path, the kind of spot a very thoughtful couple would choose to celebrate their engagement.
Ashley enlisted Flourish Floral Design to create Tanya’s fresh flower choker in addition to the bouquet + arrangements.
They ended the picnic with some small bites and a glass of rosé… Pretty much how all engagement shoots would end, if we had our say in it! Congrats to A + T!
