When Lauren + Tom first started planning their wedding, they had no idea where it would be. They live in New York, but Lauren grew up in California, and her parents live in Arizona—so their venue search took them from coast to coast. But after visiting Sedona one weekend, the hunt was up… Seven Canyons Sedona was the place. Thanks to Rachel Solomon Photography + LVL Weddings & Events, we can see exactly why!
Lindsay of LVL Weddings & Events says, Unsure how many of their guests would make the trip to celebrate with them, little did they know—if they planned it, they would come! Friends and family came from across the country for an amazing wedding weekend, starting with a wood fired pizza welcome party, a Mexi BBQ rehearsal dinner, topped off with spectacular sunsets at a reception to remember (we had to peel guests away from their sunset selfies to get the party started!).
They had a horseshoe logo and escort cards as a nod to the Lauren’s years as an equestrian.
Lauren explains, As soon as we saw the clubhouse at Seven Canyons Golf Club we felt that it fit perfectly with the overall aesthetic—boho chic with touches of the southwest. We used the natural landscape to determine our color palette, pulling reds from the rocks as well as pinks, greens, dusty blues, and grays from the terrain. From there, we searched for wood and metallic accents as we knew that we wanted a layered look with mismatched elements. Early on, we fell in love with amazing Aztec linens from La Tavola so we chose a mix of round tables covered in those and rich farm tables with lush velvet runners. We added silver rimmed dinnerware, antique grey goblets as well as an assortment of mercury votives and authentic antlers.
Our wedding would not have been all that it was without the support of our parents and the creative direction of our unbelievable wedding planner, Lindsay Longacre of LVL Events. She spent over a year working tirelessly with us to execute a four day affair that surpassed our wildest dreams. She is a true professional with an uncanny ability to turn a couple’s vision into reality.
