You guys. This shoot Katie of Going Steady Studios + photog Laura Ford sent our way is just too cool. It’s all about channeling the landscape and architecture of Hollywood into a modern wedding theme, and W Hollywood was the best space ever to do it. Modern, fresh, and full of light… Uh huh.
No shortage of cocktail inspo in this one either, Cakies…
Katie of Going Steady Studios says, We specifically kept the Capitol Records building in mind as we created menus, cake stands, drink stirrers, selected dresses and choose little cakes which reminded us of tiny replicas of the famed building. We made the name cards by combining wooden shapes that, when placed together were meant to resemble the hilly skyline of Hollywood. We kept the decor pieces modern and minimal but used florals and a color palette (based on those gorgeous hues of an LA sunset) to keep it from looking too sterile or cold.
Isn’t Laura Ford‘s work incredible?
As far as the bridal fashion, they featured two dresses from Solstice Bride, by Alexandra Grecco (pictured above) and C/Meo, with Brooke Corson jewelry.
Great work, everyone!
