Morning friends! It’s feeling like a two wedding kinda day here at 100LC, so after you peruse L + E’s, as documented by Max Wanger of Max & Friends, be sure to pop back in later for another SoCal wedding. As for Leila and Erik? Their nuptials were full of vibrant, creative elements and little rule breaking, which makes for a pretty good celebration at Millwick, if you ask us! See what we mean:
The design details, c/o RMBO Collective… A traditional white wedding would not do for this fun-loving, trend-setting, modern day couple. Instead we chose a bright color palette and lively florals mixed with modern geometric patterns set against the backdrop of abundant greenery at the industrial event space, Millwick. Not ones for tradition, Leila and Erik walked each other down the aisle while their guests, pausing from the pre-ceremony cocktail party that was already underway, turned to face the ceremony while continuing to relax in their cozy lounge vignettes.
So yeahhhh… Is it spring yet? Honey & Poppies can do no wrong.
This seating chart by Prim & Pixie came with a surprise: Leila says, Erik insisted on having polaroid pictures of each of the guests included with each escort card. It was such a project, but it ended up being such a surprise for everyone—people still talk about it. We went through all of our old pictures and picked out pictures of each guest and had them printed as Polaroids. They ended up being a good reminder of old memories and fun ways for guests to introduce themselves to each other.
E + L went wedding dress shopping together, and he picked out her Monique Lhuillier ceremony gown while she chose the Bo & Luca reception dress. Shopping together was one of their fave memories leading up to the big day, too!
Stunning table alert. Other fun parts of the day included the mezze station from Haute Chefs, whiskey tasting station by Pharmacie, and a cotton candy cart Erik surprised Leila with.
And a bit of advice from Leila: 1) plan early, 2) don’t take on too many DIY projects, and 3) don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by advice from others and end up with elements you aren’t completely crazy about in your wedding.
*Heads nodding in agreement.* Cheers to the happy couple!
