Morning guys! Yep, we sure did snag the bouquet recipe for this beauty (see below!). Blair + Jeff wanted every bit of their Holman Ranch wedding to give off romantic and intimate vibes for their 95 guests, so they made sure every detail from their autumn inspired colors to all the hints at their love of California fit the theme. Even Taralynn Lawton captured that same timeless feel:
Blair says, Knowing we were going to have a smaller wedding we really wanted to make sure our guests and family were able to experience the intimacy and romance of our wedding from the venue. I am born and raised in California, my family first came here in the early 1920’s. I have always loved that era of history. Our theme for the wedding was geared towards “old time California/ 1920’s” and Holman Ranch was the perfect fit. Jeff was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and moved out to the Bay Area about 10 years ago and California immediately became home to him. California (San Francisco to be exact) is where we met, where we fell in love and for our wedding we wanted a theme and a location that highlighted the beauty and the unique traits of California.
As for that bouquet recipe by Michelle Lywood, it had red charm peonies, iceberg garden roses, caffe latte roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, chocolate cosmos, euphorbia, viburnum, passion vine, with Froufrou chic ribbon.
Blair walked down the aisle to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and their first dance was to First Day Of My Life by Bright Eyes. Blair says, My favorite moment was seeing Jeff at the end of the aisle as I walked down. The fog had rolled into the valley behind him and the ring of flowers around him made the altar look like a dream. He looked so handsome, it took my breath away.
Morgan of Spreading Lovely helped them continue the intimate vibe of their ceremony into the reception with tables set in a U shape out from the head table and romantic lounge seating too.
For Blair + Jeff, their biggest struggle was balancing budget and finding the perfect location for the wedding. In the end, they decided to save in other areas so they could get the venue they wanted. Sounds like the right choice to us! Cheers you two!
