60th birthday party in Ojai

Happy Thursday, friends! Bash Please and Braedon Photography just shared the sweetest birthday party with us. Kathryn wanted to celebrate her 60^th birthday with a special location that had lots of sun and lots to do. She hadn’t been to Ojai before, but it checked all the boxes—tasty food and wine, beautiful sunsets, and a great sense of community. The whole celebration ended up being a California chic gathering with the main event being this stunning birthday dinner party:

Hi, loveliest lounge ever! The team explains, The main event of the weekend was at the Thacher House where guests were treated to a gourmet meal amongst the properties fresh gardens and farm animals that provided the food provisions. Set high off of Thacher Road in East Ojai, the sunset view of the Topa Topa mountains offered the perfect “pink moment” while the guests sipped cocktails.

Other activities included a delicious dinner at Olivella at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa and renting out the porch at local town favorite Nocciola. They also had a guided hike and spa and golfing for guests at the Inn.

Citrus, which is what Ojai is well known for made its way into every moment throughout the weekend from the welcome bag illustrations to a pixie orange featured cocktail served by Pharmacie. We also wanted to incorporate a lot of cherry blossoms and seasonal pink blooms to brighten up the space and Moon Canyon Design set the stage perfectly with wild blooms and branches.

Aren’t the grounds here breathtaking? The style of the dinner was “alfresco formal”, where guests wore long dresses with sandals and the men wore neutrals.
