With a wedding inspired by bougainvillea, you really can’t go wrong. But a fiesta chic wedding inspired by bougainvillea and travels to Mexico and home along the California coast? Now we’re talking. Rachel + Scott met and work in education, and they were all about bringing together their fave places for their 180-guest nuptials at Catalina View Gardens in Palos Verdes, CA. Think mini piñatas, bright whites, and even brighter blooms. Thanks to Mandee Johnson Photography for sending these photos our way!
Happy to hear that Rachel came across Mandee Johnson Photography while perusing our blog!
This view! R + S both grew up in the area, so by getting married in Palos Verdes, they could have a wedding that felt like home while drawing on their fave memories of travels to Mexico. Enter a vibrant design with coastal vibes and Mexican touches.
We chose a summer wedding because we really wanted it to be outside, festive, and fun! We both grew up near Palos Verdes and love being near the ocean. Catalina View Gardens felt like home to us. Rachel loved picking out the mini piñatas and maracas to give our guests a fun atmosphere. Our officiant Amy brought back the papel picado flags from San Miguel, Mexico.
All you really need is a gorgeous bouquet full of bougainvillea, right?!
