Happy first day of September, Cakies! Any big plans for the long weekend? After perusing the photos Juliana Aragon sent of this desert boho e-sesh, you’ll probably want to put The Joshua Tree House on the travel bucket list. Photog Juliana is a friend (and bridesmaid!) of the bride-to-be Nicki and they all had a weekend getaway on the books when Andy popped the Q. Their upcoming trip sure created a perfect excuse for an adventurous engagement shoot, if you ask us!
Nicki says, Once we had to start thinking about arranging our engagement portraits, it clicked. Andy and I are always down for a good adventure and exploring new places with one another, so why not have some fun and explore Joshua Tree for our engagement session? I had always dreamed of having my engagement session with rich, vibrant tones and a yellow dress against a dreamy desert sky. Being able to turn that dream into a reality was unreal and having one of our closest friends capture our love in one of the most beautiful places… We couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Their desert abode, The Joshua Tree House, comes complete with a hammock room, FYI. Noted!
The Blooming Gypsy dreamt up this enchanting peach bouquet that they adorned with Tono & Co ribbon.Their story, courtesy of bride-to-be Nicki… Andy and I met while we were both working at Starbucks in 2008. I was 17, fresh out of high school, and had just moved to Sacramento for college. He was the first person I saw when I walked into my first day of work. Let’s just say I fell in love with more than just coffee during my time there. Over the past eight years we have navigated and built our life together, all while simultaneously growing into the people who we are today. He truly brings out the best parts of me, shares all of his cups of coffee, and is the reason my smile is so big.
Another fabulous boho ensemble for ya… We’ve got the shopping credits below.
