Autumn brides, isn’t this ceremony backdrop so neat? Who would have thought that hanging carnations and fall foliage would go together so gorgeously? With burgundy and blush as their wedding colors, Kaylee + Michael, along with planner Colette Cuccia, wanted to highlight the rustic beauty of Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel. On choosing a photographer, Kaylee says, The moment I saw Ginny’s work is the moment I knew I needed her to photograph our wedding. Her beautiful use of light is what attracted me to her photography—but seeing her work her magic in person was beyond expectations. I couldn’t recommend her more highly—and though I never plan to be married again—I hope one day down the road I get to work with her again because she truly is the best in the business. Being a bridesmaid 10+ times I’ve seen other photographers work, and she really is a master of her craft.
They wanted to add a little boho chic flair throughout the wooded space, so they brought in furniture from Seventh Heaven Vintage Rentals + Chic Rentals.

The whole day was such a blur… but sneaking behind the barn and having a glass of wine as our guests shuffled in from the redwood grove with my new husband was a nice breather. We just stood there in amazement, and it was the first time we’d been alone together in several days—and it was as husband and wife.
Santa Lucia Preserve is actually a private venue that only accepts a handful of weddings each year, so these two (and their 80 guests) really lucked out in locking it down. Looks so magical!
Definitely like seeing how all the pretty fall florals translate to the cake, too, don’t you?
