The moment Carly + Frank set foot on Sacred Mountain Julian‘s property, they were in love. They love the mountains and trees and serenity of Julian, CA, and the venue embodied all that—plus some gorgeous fall views that everyone wants in an autumn wedding. Their floral designer Kate of With Flourish was even able to forage fall leaves from the area for the bouquets above. The dream! Scroll for more photos by Michelle of Lillywhite Photography:
Their fall wedding color palette: red, pops of golden orange, chambray blue and just a hint of purple.
With Flourish crafted the most perfectly fall bouquets.Their story… We started dating quickly after we first met and haven’t left each other side since! He and I love to camp, hike, paddle board, anything outdoors! We love music, food, and being around the people we love. I knew he was the one pretty much the moment we met. We got engaged on September 23, 2017. We went to Catalina island for my birthday and hiked to a very remote portion of the island called Parson’s Landing. It was just the two of us in this beautiful cove, fire glowing, billions of stars in the sky and he asked me to marry him. It was absolutely perfect!
On the day of their wedding, Sacred Mountain Julian was enveloped in rolling grey fog, changing fall leaves, and an amazing misty mountain view.
Naturally their chocolate lab Scout had to be their flower girl!
Julian is known for its apple pie, so they placed apples at all the place settings and had mini pies instead of cake for dessert.
Our wedding style was relaxed, romantic. Our biggest “want” for our wedding was that it was outdoors. We wanted to be surrounded by nature and have our ceremony/reception reflect that. I wanted to use warm fall colors but also incorporate my love for gardenias and the color blue. We wanted a natural feel for the beautiful landscape we were surrounded by!
And would you believe they planned the whole wedding in just 3 months with 60 guests? Carly’s advice: Living in San Diego, if you want the vendors you REALLY want you have to act fast! Advice I have for others planning is to enjoy the ride. Enjoy the process! I know it sounds cliché but if you put your heart and soul into planning your big day you won’t regret it! Follow your heart and listen to what YOU want. A lot of opinions will get thrown your way but stick to your vision and I promise it’ll be worth it!
Cheers to the happy couple!
