Have you ever seen a fall wedding cake so chic as this beauty by Pavlovs Lab? Believe it or not, this entire editorial by The Wedding Boutique and Chrissy Gilmartin Photography measures up to the bold sophistication of this one detail. By pairing the visual influence of female Flemish painters contrasted with baroque motifs (which you’ll see more of in the Dolce & Gabbana fabric that served as their muse) for a ‘Baroque in Paradise’ concept. Grab the deets as you pin the stylish fall wedding inspo below:
Even the tones in the beauty look by Alessandro Mancino were a nod to the warmth of their fall palette.
Catherine of The Wedding Boutique says, Moving away from classic wedding influences, the concept behind the shoot was to bring in more high fashion and truly artistic influences, to create a fresh concept for aspirational couples who dare to be different with their wedding decor.
As mentioned, the team used a silk chiffon Dolce & Gabbana design fabric as the basis for their color palette and baroque-inspired elements, creating a high fashion vibe throughout the décor.
The warm palette of burnt oranges, ochre, rouge, black and gold offset by tropical greens not only mirrors the colors in the Dolce & Gabbana fabric but also creates the bridge to the artistic influences evident in the shoot. Velvety textures, playful tassels, sultry silks and black taffeta created rich texture to mirror the decadence of black and dark red roses in the floral selection.
Brought to life in the stationery created by the talented Carissimo Letterpress, the inspiration taken from female Flemish painters such as Clara Peeters, Maria van Oosterwyck and Rachel Ruysch, and then the more contemporary designer Eva Germani, is evident. There are Birds of Paradise woven into the table setting, and notably the contemporary lines brought in via tropical leaves, are notable in the modern cut of the Bridal gown.
