We’ve seen our share of colorful Mexican-inspired weddings here at 100LC, and while that’s always super fun, we can’t help but find Jacqueline + Ryan’s all-white take so refreshing and perfect for a romantic venue like Leo Carrillo Ranch outside of San Diego. Their soft, earth tone color palette blends seamlessly with the Spanish-inspired space and traditional Mexican details. Not to mention, they’re the sweetest couple with a most romantic love story you’ll see as you scroll through the post. Thanks to Adrian Jon Photography and Melissa of MD FLORA for sending this our way!
Dreamiest bridal bouquet in blush and earth tones, a la MD FLORA.
Their earthy, neutral color palette included ethereal hues of taupe, grey, and blush.
Isn’t this such a unique seating chart from Kindred + Copper? It uses vintage Spanish gates covered in white handmade maracas and greenery. They doubled as favors to shake to the mariachi quartet that played the bride and groom into the reception. Each one was adorned in a frayed cloth with each guest name and table number printed by Epoch Designs.
And what a stunning way to incorporate king protea and air plants! Love this ceremony arch big time.
The charming, historic Leo Carrillo Ranch is tucked away in the canyons of Carlsbad and gave off the welcoming vibes J + R were after.

Jacqueline walked down the aisle to Jack Johnson’s Angel, and their first dance was to Perfect by Ed Sheeran as performed by their acoustic guitarist, Jonathan Blake Salazar of JBS Music.
The bride’s lace Moonlight Bridal gown was chosen as the perfect complement to the Spanish romanticism of the venue. So pretty!
During the ceremony, they incorporated the Hispanic wedding tradition of Arra which is a promise made by exchanging coins as a symbol of their shared wealth, prosperity, blessings, and community.

Their love story, as told by the bride…
Once upon a time along the enchanting Riviera of Santa Barbara, there was a girl with her wide brimmed hat, a cozy apartment steps from the shore, her 1980’s headphones with Jack Johnson love songs on rotation and a heart dreaming for someone to share what felt like lottery winnings with. One fate filled train ride down the coast led her to an evening with friends and a seat next to a boy with irresistible dimples and sweet ocean blue eyes. Little did she know, this would be the meeting that would shift the tides of her life. The boy was taken by the girl as they talked about worldly views and aspirations. They continued their conversation away from the crowd on a movie worthy walk under the glistening mist of rain.
A mutual friend witnessed this undeniable magic happening between them. Shortly after this enchanting evening, the special friend worked his magic to help the boy re-connect with the girl. It started with a sweet email, then lead to marathon phone conversations and blossomed into a beautiful love story of adventuring Santa Barbara and Long Beach together. The boy couldn’t bear to watch his sun brimmed beauty walk away to catch her train or drive away from her waving goodbye as he rode off down the coast another day longer. This is when they decided to build a life together in Belmont Shore and have been inseparable ever since.
Seven years later, on July 7, 2017, the boy surprised the girl with a trip back to Santa Barbara. He led her to one of their favorite panoramic spots at the top of the courthouse clock tower where they had shared their first kiss and asked her to be the love of his life. The girl replied with an undeniable, “Yes! It would be the honor of my life!” And so it is, my friends, the boy and the girl, will live their lifetime fairy tale happily ever after.
Cheers, you two!
