Styled shoots can be helpful for wedding planning when they’re full of new ideas you haven’t seen in a real wedding before, but they can also come off as a little unattainable. Besides the super fun color palette, our fave thing about these floral wedding ideas is that they are totally doable for the *real* couple. Adorable wedding style? A unique floral install that you could pull off at your own venue? A citrus tablescape? Yep, it can all be done and even on a budget.
Thanks to Tamara Lockwood and Shannon Bellisle for proving it in the photos below!
Shannon explains, Our full idea came together when we found this grey suit jacket with tiny bees stitched into it. Knowing we were going to use a lot of yellow we decided to play on the honeycomb idea. Bringing in different elements within the design to subtly play on that theme. The cake had waffle honeycomb textures, and geometric touches. The milk crates used in the ceremony set up had the honeycomb shape, and the candlestick holders were shaped like hexagons too. Forgather Floral Co created a floral ceremony backdrop with a hanging piece of mesh so the climbing greenery would look like it’s floating over the wall.Fun fact: Their “venue” was actually an abandoned warehouse in Ontario! The team wanted every detail to symbolize bringing life back into the empty space.
Pretty smitten with this marigold hue, ourselves!
For the table, citrus fruits and candles in different votives brought in a bright, romantic atmosphere. Pro tip: If you want to create a detail-rich tablescape while sticking to a budget, think of how you can create a “runner” with non-floral decor like this. Then you can bring in floral arrangements as more of a focal point, rather than spending money on more than you really need.
Love seeing some low arrangements + rugs to create texture in the lounge space, too.
K, someone please turn this warehouse into a venue, stat!
Crumb & Berry was behind these cute honeycomb-inspired cake. A waffle cake makes the perfect complement, don’t you think?Oh yes.

Isn’t the bride’s yellow moto jacket so cute, BTW? We found a similar one from Joie.
