Any Cakies planning a wedding with both western and Indian traditions? Meghna + Naveen, who are from India but grew up in Hong Kong and London, weren’t into the idea of a full traditional Indian wedding, but they did want to include a Hindu ceremony and traditional fashion. So, they found a way to “deconstruct” the traditional wedding, and be a little more playful with the design. Rather then having two ceremonies, for example, they set it up like a western wedding, but performed a Hindu ceremony at the end of the aisle. Cherry On Top helped them execute their vision to a T, so it fit in perfectly with the grandeur that is Villa Aurelia Rome.
Thanks to Monica Leggio & Giuseppe Marano for sharing the photos!
Isn’t this venue so gorgeous?
The bride wore a Banarasi Silk Lengha and jewelry from Sabyasachi.
They adorned the venue with flowers from Tuscany Flowers for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
Gah, imagine walking down the aisle to this!
Saying I Do surrounded by flowers and pampas grass? Yes, please.
Love how M + N chose traditional Indian style with a soft color palette.
Such a fun cocktail hour.
For dinner, their style was rustic, natural, and organic with a cool Mediterranean flair.
Had to share a few shots of the bride’s stunning Galvan London reception dress.

All the best to Meghna + Naveen!
