There are few places dreamier than Napa Valley for a spring wedding, and this fine-art, Monet-inspired vignette Hawthorne and Poppy whipped up for Alex and Julie (and their ring bearer doodle!) elevates it even further. And if you happen to fall in love with the private estate featured in Paige Vaughn’s images, you’re in luck! Heron Ridge is one of many beautiful wine country estate venues managed by Distinct Locations, available for weddings big and small.
BTW. The cool thing about styled shoots this year? They’re giving lots of engaged couples a little slice of what the big day may bring when it *does* finally arrive, including these two who used the shoot as a mini celebration with their own wedding plans in flux.
Inspired by the French style icon Marie Antoinette herself, the details (like the feathered stilettos and over-the-top-bouquet give this shoot an edge, perfect for the modern day couple looking to be timeless and trendy. The stationery and paper goods translated Monet’s work into a cohesive suite (the envelope liner was the painting!) that matched the hand painted-flowers on the name cards and the custom calligraphy on the menus. The table was decked with a luxurious linen, and macarons made by the bride herself!
Swooning over the mauve and pink blooms in this spring bridal bouquet by Ash and Oak Floral!
Having such a small guest count means we got to flip the typical format of the property, hosting the reception on the landscaped drive with stunning views of both the sunset and the French cottage-inspired architecture, while the ceremony was nestled in the backyard with a backdrop of a private vineyard. Sunset portraits happened on a floral-garnished swing that hung from the property’s 100-year-old oak tree.
So sweet!
