If you love taking a peek at some of Europe’s breathtaking venues—whether it’s Bastide du Roy on the French Riviera or the enchanting Solar de Pancas in Portugal—then NYC couple Emily and Tyler’s majestic nuptials at Dublin’s Luttrellstown Castle are right up your alley. Having fallen in love with the country on a past trip together, they knew right away that an Ireland wedding was on the books. So when it came to planning the big day, it was all about complementing the historic castle’s already gorgeous architecture, interior, and surroundings. Irish destination wedding planner Kate of Love & Gatherings brought it all together for them, while photographers Taylor and Porter captured each celebratory and emotional moment that ensued.
The setting for this wonderful Ireland wedding was Luttrellstown Castle, a majestic estate on the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland. Set in the calmest rolling parkland, this place proved the perfect balance between the grandeur of an Irish castle wedding and the unpretentious welcome that was so important to this family.
The spaces in this historical building are full of personality, but maintain, throughout, a subtle antique palette and so much visual access to the green surroundings. This lightness of mood informed greatly Emily’s desire to develop an aesthetic that was airy and fresh, contemporary in its refinement but always respectful of its environment.
Emily wore the timeless Charlie gown by Danielle Frankel, which has a chic high cowl neck with a draped open back in a pearl hued silk wool.
Patsie & Co brought in only florals that looked like they could have been hand-picked from the nearby meadow, in a green in white palette that aligned with the castle’s romantic landscape.
Gorgeous ceremony arrangements!
Straight from a fairytale, this ceremony!
Cocktail hour took place on the castle’s sunny terrace with signature cocktails of Moscow Mule, Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini – and of course, pints of Guinness! – ensuring spirits were high, even before dinner.
Ready to peep the inside of this incredible Ireland wedding venue? Here we go…
Dining in the stately spaces had to be on long banquet tables, with tonal ivory linens and tableware, only subtly accented by soft sage napkins, taper candles in glistening blown-glass candlesticks… and lots more of those field-sprung blooms. The delicate floral illustrations of the paper goods really took center stage here, bringing freedom to the otherwise restrained palette. But of course, the true beauty of this tablescape was the joy and ease of those sitting around it.
The natural color palette kept things airy and fresh, while elevating the antique interior’s elegant decor even further.
Not only did a fabulous dance party follow, but the night ended with a rainy fireworks send off…
Such a beautiful destination wedding, congrats to the happy couple!
