We’re starting the week off with an incredibly peaceful & intimate wedding – shot entirely on film by the talented Love Me Sailor! Earlier this year, Bette + Andy got engaged and started planning a big 100+ person wedding. Shortly after, Bette realized she absolutely did not want to deal with the stress of planning a big wedding (we hear ya sistah!), so they turned their annual camping trip to Jedediah Smith Redwoods Park into a pseudo-elopement. A 13 hour drive from home, 25 friends, and only $1,300 later, they had a simple, no stress, memorable celebration!
Bette’s hairpiece, made of lavender and dried roses, was made by Andy’s aunt. She also made Andy’s boutonierre, and packaged them both in a craft box with a cute collage and a poem about love inside.
The red bandanna in Andy’s back pocket belonged to their dog Ozzy, who had just passed away in July. After the sweet wedding ceremony, everyone walked further into the grove for an additional ceremony to sprinkle Ozzy’s ashes in a field.
Reusing & recycling wherever possible was key. The “Andy + Bette” sign was made using pieces of flat fire wood and bits of charcoal.
Bette collected small vintage glass bottles, crystals, antlers, and several lace tablecloths to use for centerpieces. The day of the wedding, all the girls got together to collect sticks of wild berries, moss, flowers and ferns to decorate the tables.

Towards the end of the night the two shared a private dance to Neil Young’s, Harvest Moon. The song does such a beautiful job at capturing the tone of the entire wedding, so how about you press play and scroll back up to look at their dreamy photos again?
