Ok, this kind of looks like the house from Father of the Bride, right? Well, it’s not. But it’s just as charming – just like Shannon + David’s wedding. Their day’s motto was “Live. Love. Dance”, and ironically enough, their first dance actually was their first dance together, ever! Too cute. Something about this wedding makes us feel all cozy inside. Maybe it’s was the outdoor games (bocce ball is always a hit), or the handmade cornhole set with their silhouettes. The details were thoughtful and we absolutely adore it all!
How perfect is that open barn just to the side of The Farmhouse?
Each guests was greeted with a bottle of homemade maple syrup when they took their seats. Dave worked diligently on making these favors happen and tapped about 30 trees on his 20 acres of land, slaving over large fires of boiling syrup.
My advice for other brides is advice past brides gave to me, which I found to be extremely difficult to follow. “Don’t stress out!” It’s nearly impossible to not stress out, but looking back I was so nervous, anxious, and stressed on my wedding day. None of the stress was about marrying Dave, it was just the little things, that really were not important. It had taken so long for this day to come and I was stressing out about the little things. My other advice is don’t be mad at yourself if you do stress out, it happens, but enjoy as much of the day as possible!
Congrats Shannon + David!
