Sometimes the focus doesn’t always have to be on the dress, right? Beautiful hair and makeup with a little bit of accessorizing can make for a glamorous bride that no one will want to take their eyes off. These pretty ladies are proof.
This styled shoot was done in collaboration with makeup artist Emily Cheng and photographer Gucio Photography and focused on showcasing four different distinct looks for a bride to consider for the big day. There are some really pretty options here ladies. Take a peek…
The Classic Bride
This is the perfect example of putting a twist on a classic look. The cat-eye liner is always a favorite amongst brides and by using color you can make it your own. Here we’ve used a turquoise blue but other colors like purples and greys can do wonders in bringing out your eye color. Finish this look with clean, sharp red lips and full brows. The hair has a classic retro wave to it yet it is still movable and soft. Instead of crystals or flowers a feather clip with gold accents add the perfect finishing touch.
The Boho Bride
Playing with soft peaches and pinks can be the perfect solution for those that either don’t often wear makeup or prefer subtle colors. Peaches and pinks can be paired to create an ethereal yet polished look ideal for the big day.
Complete the look with a romantic side updo and feminine accessories. Here we’ve simply used lace and string pearls as a head piece and pinned them straight into the hair.
The Edgy Bride
For those that love makeup and can’t get enough here are a few ways to have some fun. Deep lipstick and gem textured eyes will be sure to have heads turning. A common grey shadow is spiced up with gemmed lashes and sparkled shadow. Focus on just a corner or section of the eyes so it doesn’t become over the top. A matte lip color will compliment the dazzling eyes.
A sleek top bun adorned with large topaz crystals and ribbons tie in with the makeup perfectly. If you can’t find the perfect hair accessory start looking into necklaces and bracelets where you can easily manipulate and pin into the hair.
The Trendy Bride
You want to do something bold and being the classic bride just isn’t for you. Hair and makeup can be the easiest way for you to show off your style. The hair incorporates the popular trend of twists while being completely unique. Twists can be worked in so many ways which makes it fun to experiment with. For added textures try braids and think beyond your basic braid and incorporate styles from the runway. Balance off this statement hairstyle with soft colors on the face. Lilac on the eyes with full lashes and soft peachy lips/cheeks work together to create perfect symmetry.
We love them all! What’s your fave?
