It’s easy to be inspired by the rich culture and striking landscape of the African continent. The creatives behind this mesmerizing set of photos, Ashley Kelemen Photography and Thorne Artistry, wanted to honor that culture with this shoot. But instead of traveling halfway across the globe to get there, these resourceful ladies found a little pocket of Africa in their own backyard, and set up shop in the Mission Trails area of San Diego.
Many of the artifacts in this shoot are from Ashley’ family’s private collection. They’re closely tied with Africa and visit often.
