We are so very excited to share Emma + Trey’s wedding ceremony today. For one thing, it’s just a downright gorgeous wedding captured by Arrow & Apple. But it’s also the wedding of one of our favorite bloggers around, A Beautiful Mess‘s Emma Chapman (who runs the blog with her sister Elsie). Do you remember Elsie and Jeremy’s wedding we featured a couple years ago?
If you don’t already follow A Beautiful Mess, then you should probably click on over as soon as you finish looking at these pretty photos. Be prepared for design, fashion, food, crafts and décor galore. But first, the wedding.
Emma says, Our wedding was very homemade. We decided early on to have our ceremony at my grandmother’s cabin out in the country. Trey and I visited my grandmother the day after we got engaged and it just felt like the perfect place to tie the knot. We love the outdoors and we wanted to reflect that in our decor and style. I must admit that we also love neon yellow, gold, bold colors and canoes. So we incorporated all that too.
The bouquets and bouts were all a DIY effort.
Elsie designed her dress (aww how special!). That big gold ribbon and those flouncy ruffles are almost too pretty to handle.
My bouquet was all white roses, held together by neon yellow ribbon. Trey has always bought me white roses, so it’s a special flower to me.
And Emma’s neon yellow nails? What a fun finishing touch!
The canoe seating and colorful rocks lining the dock are way rad, yes?
Emma + Trey walked down the aisle to Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love.”
We wrote our own vows. Even though we had been through them many times (making revisions and practicing), reciting them to each other in front of all our family and friends will be something I never forget.
You can see even more photos of their ceremony over at A Beautiful Mess.
Cheers, Emma + Trey! Here’s to a lifetime of happiness!
