Wow, one look at that amaze dip-dyed DVF wedding dress and you can pretty much bet this wedding is going to be fun! Then you see that rad geometric invitation suite, and you’re like yep—fun is right. Allison says, The inspiration started with the print on our invites (which was a quilt pattern by our good friend Alyson Fox) and the hot pink ombre of my dress. Those two elements helped guide every decision that I made. The wedding was relaxed and ended with an awesome dance party set to great music—something that really felt like us. Cory Ryan was there to capture it all.

The pretty ceremony backdrop doubled as a photo booth backdrop later on. Smart!
Some advice from the bride: In retrospect, I would have cut myself off from Pinterest MUCH sooner. As valuable as it is for planning and inspiration, I found it to be more of a stressor as the day approached. Also, throw out your preconceived notions of what a wedding should be and go with what feels like you. For example, I had moments of doubt worrying that my dress wasn’t “bridal” enough but in the end it was absolutely perfect and I couldn’t imagine myself in anything else.
See those candles? All DIY. Allison + Shun printed the quilt pattern on vellum paper, and then wrapped it around simple dollar store candles to create a nice pop of pattern on the tables.
Did we mention how amazing that dress is? Well it’s worth saying one more time.
