After seeing today’s inspiration shoot, we’re totally on the off-white dress train. With the striking style of those late 70s black onyx rings as their muse, Heather Cook Elliott Photography + Tailored Engagements whipped up a shoot that reimagines this season’s most unique bridal trends—from sequined tablescapes to floral wall hangings and a hippie-chic bridesmaid dress + big jewels.
Heather says, We wanted to style a shoot for the new vintage bride that loves the sheerness of lace but not lace itself, the shimmer of sequins but not bling exactly, the romance of a crown with out wearing a tiara, the detail of handmade items but not thrift stores, and her coffee with a little gold, or rather, honey.
A little vintage, a little French…
Jeweled, lace Badgley Mischkas for the bride’s big day? Mhmmm.
Statement jewels done oh so right.
Elegant, romantic calligraphy by Paper Envy… Looping calligraphy is carried through to the place cards that sit atop the hand-painted polka dot plates on gold chargers (that are just a tiny bit 80s) and all together they create a stack of layered loveliness. And layers are what this shoot is all about – like honey sweetened coffee layered with creamy milk and foam the details are all multi-faceted, a little surprising and always sweet.
My love… My life.
Honestly, why aren’t coffee bars in more weddings?!
Wonderful shoot, everyone!
