Three things inspired this couple’s rad camp wedding: family, good friends, and nature. After choosing a woodsy, laidback theme, they knew right away that Jaclyn Simpson, a close friend, would photograph their big day. The bride is also owner of Fleur Chicago, the boutique and floral design studio responsible for all the lovely blooms below. Of the rest of the team behind this wedding, Kelly says, If you find vendors that you trust and adore, they’ll get the job done. Simple as that.
As for the music, Kelly says, Dave wrote the music that I walked down the aisle to, and we danced to “Heroes” by David Bowie
Naturally, Kelly (and her team) handled the flowers, but these guys also painted the bean bag set for games, sewed table numbers, salvaged dinner plates, found vintage silverware, and made the “to” and “from” signs.
Yep… This is the place to be. On choosing a venue: We wished we could celebrate our wedding at Dave’s family cabin in Minnesota, but it was a bit too small and the distance too far. With Wandawega located in Wisconsin, it was a perfect combination to bring two sets of friends and family from MN and IL together. The scenery is breathtaking and the owners of Wandawega have so beautifully curated the property that you’re immediately lost in its charm and history.
