When you have personal ties to a specific location, it simply makes sense to say “I do” there too. For Morgen and Chris, the bride’s childhood in Victoria, Texas made just the place for a vintage rustic glam themed wedding with 75 guests: Morgen says, My grandparents built that house before I was born and now my mother lives there. I grew up climbing those oak trees and running through those fields and we plan to make many new memories there for years and generations. It was such an honor to share my special place with all my friends and newly expanded family. I know my grandfather would have loved seeing me get married under his trees.

Yep, this Alfred Angelo gown in “ivory café” is the epitome of vintage rustic glam, don’t you think? It features net over satin, embroidered lace, crystal beading + sequins, grosgrain ribbon, and a chapel train.
During the ceremony, we chose to wash one another’s feet as our vow to serve each other humbly and thoughtfully. It was important to slow down, connect to the significance of our commitment, and soak up the moment.
They found the perfect brown suit to go with the dress, too.
Morgen created her vintage glam look with gold tableware, gold chargers, mercury glass, and vintage pieces that flowed romantically with the natural setting.
Right in the middle of planning for the wedding, they sold their home and possessions and jetted off to London for Chris’ work. (Can you imagine?!) They then flew back to Texas for the wedding and were off to London again for the honeymoon—where they visited 10 countries together in the following months.
What’s sweeter, these desserts or the elegant vintage décor surrounding them?
A few words from our bride…
Our love story was fast and furious and I couldn’t see it any other way. We knew it was love on week one, engaged five months later, and married exactly one year from the day we met. When we met on March 20th, 2013 I didn’t realize it was the first day of Spring and my grandparents anniversary from 1965 so I really believe the date picked us. March 20th, 2014 was a wedding date where new love grew and more anniversaries memories were shared. Again, my grandfather would have had a great big smile.
So sweet! Congrats to Morgen + Christopher!
