Good morning, cakies! Rahel Menig sent this cheerful light-filled California inspiration shoot our way and not only is it pretty, but full of totally doable DIYs. Really, is there a better way to highlight the fairy tale that is Holman Ranch than embellish it with an array of jewel-toned flowers and eclectic, antique décor? We think not. And if you so happen to fall for this look, stay tuned—we’ve got two wedding DIY tutorials straight from the team on the blog later this morning.
Rahel says, Driving up to the spectacular Holman Ranch was an experience all by itself. Horses were lining the road as we were making our way up the hill and as we got out of the car the sun was playing in the foliage of the gorgeous oak trees. Our goal was to create something new and exciting. To combine the luxurious with an eclectic atmosphere, and LJ of Lux & Jasper delivered. With flowers galore by the talented Sarah of Fionna Floral in DIY concrete vases, mismatched, vintage furniture and beautifully draped billowy fabrics she pulled it all together, giving the venue that lovely airy, yet exciting feel.
DIY alert: Check back later to see how to make these concrete vases.
…And this fantastic paper dahlia too.
