Ah, the many things you can do with sailor stripes! It’s always a treat to see incredible, new things done with classic details (wait till you see the floral ceremony arch in the post). Coty + Ashley Henry of Henry Photography jumped at the chance to put on and photograph a nautical shoot in Ohio and added modern vibes and a Midwest feel. Next thing you know, they were lakeside on a dock at sunset with a team of local talents to make it all happen.
Have we mentioned that sparkly Kate Spades are always a good idea?
Ashley of Henry Photography says, Ashby Floral Boutique brought my style board to life with her huge birch tree arbor covered in flowers, fishnets and blue & white stripe ribbon. It was the perfect touch for our Midwest ceremony… We placed the table on the dock, which was perfect because the sunlight danced on the floral arrangement adorned with buoys. Ivory House Creative is beyond talented and asked to design a printed menu on the napkin, she also designed the anchor logo for the shoot. Anchors represent so many things to so many people but to me it represents hope and stability and I felt like our shoot really exemplified that.
I wanted a romantic yet fun color scheme so we did navy + white stripe for our nautical pull and some corals + greens for a little romance and fun! Ivy Bridal Studio provided us with the most gorgeous dress from Modern Trousseau and its sweet peekaboo lace, buttons, pockets and flowing train looked exquisite on our model as she ran through a field.
How fab were all those anchor details? Thanks to Henry Photography + the crew below for sharing!
