Color lovers and bold brides, you are going to be head over heels for this editorial by Verdigris Photography + Design. We mean, Planning For Paradise started with the idea of something bright, not blue after all. From there, they dreamed up the most vibrant vignette with a 1940s twist AND even sent us a few pointers for creating your own colorful event:
The key color? Hot pink of course. But that didn’t stop them from incorporating lots of other bold tones too…
FYI! These place cards are a super easy DIY project… Simply grab some tile sheets from Home Depot and write your guests name on them.
A few notes from Jenin of Planning For Paradise: Inspired by a vibrant watercolor image I came across on Pinterest, the creative juices started flowing. My main goal was to capture this eclectic color scheme through my creative ideas, from mixing + matching prints + patterns to untraditional ideas, from the hanging neon menu and tiled seating chart to the cascading bouquet, adorned with the prettiest pink tassel, ever.
Jenin says, Don’t be afraid to color! Not all wedding color palettes need to be just three. We have so much color going on in this + they all flowed together perfectly. Add some extra colors into your wedding by staying in the same color family but incorporating different shades.
More tips: Add texture to your bouquet by using tassels or pom-pom rope besides the basic silk ribbon. Custom chairs are a super fun way to bring some color into your reception. Have special “bride + groom” chairs just for you that coordinate with all the other décor + details. Place simple foliage on guest plates to bring any table setting to life. This simple detail really finishes off a table.
Thanks to the talented crew below for taking us off the beaten path today…
