Bonjour, Cakies! As you may have gathered from our Parisian elopement, we’ve got Paris on the mind more than ever this year (our 10th year, to be exact!). So when it came to styling up this most festive first bridal shower of the season, we had to opt for all things “France in the spring”. Think pretty treats, pops of yellows, and a delicious French-inspired California rosé from JNSQ (the name means je ne sais quoi, to represent its exceptional, hard-to-define quality, after all)—adorning the tables at Festoon.
Spring blooms, check. Spring desserts, check. And most importantly, a little something to sip…
We were most inspired by JNSQ‘s Rosé Cru when dreaming up the design for this bridal shower. It is a California wine “with a French accent”, and their elegant bottle and resealable rose stopper (the icing on the cake, right?!?) just exudes that air of effortless Parisian chic we were after. Which makes sense, as the bottle was actually crafted by a French glass designer to be reminiscent of a perfume bottle, and is meant to be held as a keepsake for long after. Yep, it’s *that* perfect for showering a bride-to-be!
But believe it or not, the Insta-worthy presentation isn’t the only reason we had to have this wine for our French bridal shower… It’s the perfect taste for a light and celebratory occasion, too! Not too sweet and never bitter, JNSQ Rosé Cru is everything what you want from a rosé but don’t know exactly how to describe. Like summer in a glass, honestly.
The wine’s fruit flavors (you’ll notice apple, subtle red cherry, and strawberry at first) make it an easy pick for light bites you might serve at a brunchy bridal soiree, but it’s so light and balanced, you can enjoy it on its own. Perfect for parties where guests may be sipping or snacking or both, obvs!
And of course… a few dozen macarons are a must, always.
