How can you not giggle at that save the date? Love a couple that can poke fun of their teenage self and have a great wedding at the same time. These two had the perfect fall-like wedding in Lake Arrowhead fitting to share on this chilly 1st of November morning. With an already gorgeous backdrop, they added touches of natural elements throughout – blocks of wood as escort card holders, hanging moss balls, and custom flowers made of wood. We’ve never seen anything like it, but it’s such a great touch.
Allison’s very textural bouquet recipe: cotton, basil, euctalyptus, succulents, hydrangea, and some awesome custom wood flowers.
Every bride has different expectations, family situations, resources, and what-not, so I don’t know if I can offer any universal advice. But I can say from my experience, the following tidbits were helpful.
* There is always another vendor available for your wedding date whether it is 2 years before or 2 weeks before the big day
* Don’t be surprised if you suddenly find yourself caring about the “tablescape” even if you are a seriously chill person.
* Actively recognize and thank people for their contributions – things can get hectic, but taking the time to recognize your amazing family and friends for their efforts goes a long way. Nobody wants to be thought of as “ungrateful” on their wedding day.
Great advice Allison!
