Having a botanical garden as your wedding venue and adding your own touch of lavish florals is a beautiful thing. Yes, you’re already surrounded by lush greens already, but after seeing how Caitlin + Jarrod included simple and minimal terrariums throughout and had striking boutonnieres and bouquets, we see no harm in added more foliage to your wedding decor. The elegant florals they chose blended perfectly with their vintage style and venue, the 1920’s Skylands Manor at the New Jersey Botanical Gardens. So glad Charlotte Jenks Lewis is sharing this beauty with us!
See, aren’t these terrariums the cutest? So simple, with just a hint of color.

Their music playlist took guests way back. The wedding party walked in to Si Tu Vois Ma Mère by Sidney Bechet, Caitlin walked down the aisle to La Vie En Rose by Édith Piaf and Louis Guglielmi, and their first dance song was One Never Knows, Does One? by Billie Holiday. All were performed live by Tamar Korn & Company.
The best part of the day was having the sun come out just as I started to walk down the aisle and then having my Uncle marry Jarrod and I over a stunning coy pond. The rest of the day was filled with incredible moments of dancing with our families and loved ones while the old world jazz band played, sneaking back to the ceremony pond alone under the stars, and being swept off my feet during the last dance and spun around the dance floor to end the night perfectly.
Congratulations Caitlin + Jarrod!
