We’re so crazy about this wedding. It’s absolutely gorgeous in the way it fuses so many of our favorite wedding details: glittery elements, pretty paper, lovely typography, pattern, a sharp dressed wedding party, romantic floral design, personal touches, fancy cocktails, and a chandelier-lit dinner (served under the branches of a magnificent sycamore arbor). We’re so thankful Gary Ashley of The Wedding Artists Collective is sharing yet another beautiful wedding with us. You’re going to love it.
After I got dressed, my mom gave me a handkerchief that was her grandmother’s and that her mom gave her on her wedding day. I held it with my bouquet as I walked down the aisle and it fit perfectly as if it was meant to be a part of it all along. I also wore my grandmother’s veil.
Their music: Jesse and the Groomsmen walked in to “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra. Bridesmaids walked in to “My Gir”l, and Libbie walked with her dad to Canon D. Their recessional song was “All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles, and their first dance song was, “The Way You Look Tonight”, performed by the Pop Rocks.
Growing up, my family always had a wall in our house with all of the best pictures of our family and friends – covered from top to bottom – and we called it the Wall of Fame. This is something that I have adopted in our apartment and something we wanted to do for our wedding. We wanted to try and represent as many of our guests as we could, and it took weeks (with help from both of our families!) to go through and narrow it down to just 50 photos. In the end it was perfect and we thought it really showed our guests how much they have impacted our lives and our relationship.
It sounds so generic and cheesy but spending time with everyone in such a gorgeous setting was the best memory we both have. We had four days of activities so we were really able to spend time with everyone who came. It really is the one time in your life where you have all of your favorite people in one place and we loved every minute of it. We both couldn’t stop smiling!
Many congrats to the lovely couple!
