From Ontario, Canada to Nashville. That’s the journey these two took with their guests to have the intimate and dreamy wedding that they had. The details are uber romantic, from the ruffles in her Sue Wong dress, the floral garland used as their ceremony backdrop, to the elegantly set reclaimed dining table for 11. And the photos, by Ariel Renae, well those obviously tell their love story beautifully. Click here to jump over to the entire gallery of images!
The heartwarming story behind the photo tied to Heather’s bouquet…
My father passed away when my sister and I were children, leaving my mom to raise us on her own. She has been such an inspiration to us, and she was so elated that Ryan and I had decided to start our lives together. Upon arrival at Cedarwood on the day of the wedding, I surprised my mom by asking her to walk me down the aisle. She was so touched that it brought us both to tears. It was so important to us that my dad be present on this day, and so I had a beautiful custom photo brooch made with a photo of my dad and I, to be attached to my bouquet. That picture was my something old. I hadn’t told my mom about this detail, and as my mom and I were about to start our walk down the aisle together, I showed her the brooch and it brought her to tears again – which then brought me to tears!
Because we had all travelled from so far away, and our families live 7 hours apart back home in Canada, we decided that we wanted to take advantage of our time in Tennessee and make the remainder of our week a family vacation. Ryan and I split our time between our families during the holidays, and we cherish any time that our families can spend together. We rented a stunning 5000-square foot cabin from Stony Brook Cabins, perched high in the Smokey Mountains and spent the rest of the week relaxing and exploring Tennessee as one big family. It was an absolutely perfect way to wind down and reflect on our incredible day at Cedarwood.
