They say you shouldn’t date someone that you work with, but when you’re as cute as these two and you work near a hot kitchen, we say do it. Look where it led these two? Kim + Caleb met while working at the legendary Western themed Texas Roadhouse. She was a hostess. He was a server. Sparks flew over steaks and he eventually proposed on their one year anniversary and her 20th birthday. Knowing where & how they met, would you guess they’d have anything other than a Country chic wedding? It’s was a charming day with the cutest vintage VW getaway car, photographed by Daniel Kim. Tip from the bride: If you have a train on your gown, make sure the bustle is sturdy or your MOH will be fixing it all night.
I was convinced I would make it through the day with dry eyes. The moment that music started playing for the girls to start walking, it took everything in me to not bawl my eyes out and ruin my makeup. My dad’s arm was also the only thing keeping me from collapsing in an unconscious heap on the grass. It was the most whirlwind type of emotions; pure joy combined with absolute terror.
Those mason jar bride & groom goblets are just the cutest, and super easy to DIY! All you need are some candlestick holders, super glue or tacky glue and you’ve got your custom goblets. You can play around with different colored candlestick holders for a more unique look too.
Looking back on her wedding day, here’s what Kim remembers… Honestly, that whole day was gone before I could blink. But looking back on photos, I remember better the little moments like getting Starbucks with a big bold “Bride” on it, praying with my girls before we walked. But I think the best part, cheesy as it sounds, was sitting back at the bridal party table and taking in the view of all the amazing people that had come from all over to cheer us on on the happiest and scariest day of our lives. And a quick bit of advice.. Don’t forget to figure out who will cut and serve the cake! That was a quick fix by a friend who volunteered, but only after a moment of panic! Also, I’ve banned myself from looking at anything wedding related on Pinterest because I never want to regret anything about our happy day.
We hear ya on the Pinterest thing. That’s exactly how we feel every time we share a new wedding!
Congratulations Kim + Caleb!
