Kristy + Matt’s wedding venue is pretty breathtaking, huh? The old barn with sunlight shining through the wooden slats, the open field dotted with haystacks and vintage furniture, the rolling green hills on the horizon… we could go on and on and on. By keeping their guest list to an intimate 40, these two were really able to focus in on the details, so beautifully captured here by Ameris.
Kristy’s rustic bouquet recipe: black dahlias, ranunculus, blushing bride protea, lysimachia, globe thistle, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus, callas, amnesia rose, mini field daises, and white sea holly.
Instead of confetti or rice, guests tossed dried flower petals from paper cones made of sheet music. Cute!
Kristy says, We asked for a loaded dessert table, and it was the most delicious table of goodies I could ever imagine!
Good music was a must, since Matt and many of our guests are musicians. We brought lots of records from our own collection and found a great Buddy Holly tribute band, Johnny Vallis. Having a live band was really worth the cost. We love live music and Buddy Holly is one of our favorite bands.
