We love surprises, don’t you? Which is why we think it’s so totally cute that Carlos + Laura surprised their guests with ‘La Hora Loca,’ a Latin wedding tradition that revives the party late at night with a Carnaval-esque theme. (Think masks, feather boas, and a conga line… what a hoot!) But even before that big reveal, this pair had us pretty impressed with their DIY invites, hand-painted signage, and romantic brass touches—all captured by Love is a Big Deal.
From the bride: The entire day was amazing, but the ceremony was most meaningful. Our officiant incorporated both English and Spanish into our ceremony, which meant so much to us and our families.
Carlos and I planned everything ourselves. He being an artist, and myself a designer, we transformed our home studio into a “wedding war room,” complete with a chalkboard wall where we mapped out our game plan. Our vision was to create something that captured the spirit of Miami, but was most importantly a natural reflection of ourselves. I designed our stationery along with a bilingual wedding program, place cards, painted table numbers, and various signs.
Prettiest pink florals ever or prettiest pink florals ever?
Congrats Carlos + Laura!
