We love us a good bridal shower activity. (Remember our Amanda’s flower arranging lesson? So much fun.) Well this little shoot from Spindle Photography, Kathleen Cook, and Invision Events was based on the idea of a DIY shibori station. Now what exactly is shibori, you ask? Shibori is an indigo tie dying method originating in Japan. It’s totally stunning, and you can click on over to our DIY section for the tutorial after looking at this shibori-inspired party scene.
That centerpiece just made our jaws drop a little bit! Gorgeous!
Indigo painted macarons, anyone? Yum.
Kelly Cummings from Spindle Photography says, For brides interested in throwing their own shibori party, we recommend following our lead and bringing some extra white cotton items for guests to dye and take home. We opted for onesies and boxers (or “party pants” if you will), to gift to friends and our spouses.
Thanks to everyone below for sharing this beautiful blue shoot with us!
