Lisa + Tyler wanted their wedding day to be a reflection of their personalities, and wanted their guests to feel as if they were relaxing in their home. That meant scouring flea markets for vintage glassware, furniture, rugs, and other ‘gypsy lifestyle’ items that complemented the venue’s exotic natural beauty. Love it. Oh, and did we mention that there was a peacock on the premises? Nice touch. Here are the photos from Joielala…
And after hearing that these two met at a ‘70s themed party, the boho theme is all the more fitting.
Lisa’s pink + green bouquet recipe: peonies, dahlias, garden roses, eucalyptus, wild flowers, and more.
L + T’s wedding party walked down the aisle to “Here Comes The Sun” by the Beatles, in celebration of the spring season.
Our crafty groom made the teepee from wood sourced from the downtown LA flower mart. The LOVE sign was made from recycled metal and garden lights purchased at Target.
Lisa works for a handbag company, which allowed her to have table runners made in Bali from traditional Ikats. So pretty and what a special detail!
Some advice from the bride… Plan early. The more you do ahead of time, the more you will enjoy the memories of being engaged. Also, hire a day-of coordinator. We did a lot of work on our own, but having someone there the day-of made all the difference. We were able to relax and enjoy the wedding!
Best wishes, you guys!
