There’s not a detail we don’t love in this one, guys… Not a one. Just look at those paper blooms! (Reminds us of this floral bouquet DIY.) Part wedding, part mega-reunion among friends + fam, Karlien + George opted for a weekend event at Nambigrens Guestfarm in Namibia, a space large enough to accommodate their 130 guests. The whole thing is nothing short of gorgeous.

DIYs for dayssss… handmade flowers, linens, wedding day stationery, wooden placemats created by George and gifted to guests, you get the idea. Karlien says, The whole weekend was a great team effort with all the guests jumping in to help with something.
Everything was made to complement the gorg landscape.
What a color palette… The bride’s gown is Cape Town designer Alana van Heerden.
On the venue: We love the outdoors and camping and hiking, and wanted this to be core elements of our weekend wedding. The venue is situated in one of Namibia’s most scenic places, and we just fell in love with the view from the ceremony area and the beautiful surroundings. The venue also offered camping spots for all our guests and enough activities to keep everyone busy.
Bouquets handmade with flowers from old books and dry grass from the area, by George’s brother and sister.
Karlien + George chose 3 elements (photographer, venue, food) and focused the budget on them, which totally worked out since DIY was such an important element for them anyway. The biggest hurdle was having to transport materials 200km from the nearest town to their venue. Soo worth it, no?
