When Joey + Tom happened upon the Camarillo Ranch House, they knew its lush, wild setting would dictate their wedding style: an outdoor garden ceremony with a fun indoor barn wedding/dance party. They decided on a spring wedding so their East coast + Midwest fams could escape the cold for a little “spring break” in California. Brilliant, right? From there, it was designing a perfect indoor/outdoor event complete with elements of rustic elegance + personal vintage pieces – which Joey pinned here – that suited their style to a T.

Bride Joey is an accessories designer for Elle & Jae, her modern bridal line, so obvs she created her own veil, sash, and bracelet. She also DIYed the signage, guestbook, menus, and escort cards.
Joey says, Right before the ceremony, I had a little alone time with my bridesmaids and my mother and mother-in-law, sharing private thoughts and saying unique thank yous to each. I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything.
Okay, can’t get over this scene! That vintage furniture paired with such a fab shade of red… Yes, please.

We loved this tip from Joey: Make sure you have people around you that you can trust and you’d want to hang out with outside of your wedding. Every vendor was so professional and on top of their game, while also being calm, laidback and fun to be around. I am so thankful for all of them!
