No matter the season, we love to see a good woodland wedding theme pop up in our inbox (remember last year’s woodland winter ideas? Genius!). There’s something about an outdoor setting that’s as elegant as a more traditional venue yet totally inventive and inspiring. Photog Lisa O’Dwyer wanted to take woodland to the next level, reimagining rustic elegance altogether. She hooked up with Pink Diamond Events to show off their beautiful Colorado backdrop. We wanted to show Colorado woodland elegance without the ubiquitous sunflowers, mason jars, and burlap.
Instead, the team went with terrariums, pine needles, and a couple gorgeous gowns. We like where this is going already…
So many unique little details.
This woodland-inspired bouquet is made up of the Colorado state flower, the columbine, with artichokes and peonies.
From Lisa: Casey of Pink Diamond Events and Brittany of Hana Style Designs designed the woodland table settings. Brittany’s flower art is so unique and artistic for Northern Colorado! She used plant dyed silk ribbons from Silk & Willow to tie little glass globes in the pines and filled them with flowers. The table had glass jars filled with beautiful plants like orchids, like little hothouse curiosities. The linens were tied with mushrooms and other flowers and moss were in the elegant rustic centerpieces.
