We sure love it when DIY posts fall on Fridays around here. No waiting for the weekend to fit in crafting time. Annnd today’s post has not one, but two DIY tutorials! Floral designer Tara of Sweet Blossom Designs is sharing a floral crown and a cute flower girl purse. She tells us they’re fabulous for outdoor or garden-themed weddings, but any bride with a romantic, classic vibe would look just as sweet. The white flowers actually work beautifully for fall as they pop against autumn décor – and almost all of them are available year-round.
More from Tara + two DIY tutorials below. Thanks to Jessica Claire Photography for documenting each step!
I wanted the flowers to be romantic and subtle, yet still pop off the dresses. I wanted the flowers to be attention grabbing, but at the same time draw the attention to the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids and their surroundings.
The flowers used in this design are:
White Peonies (Bride), Patience White Garden Rose, White China Mums, Dahlias, Bells of Ireland, Italian Ruscus, White Astilbe, Veronica, Eucalyptus, Seeded Eucalyptus, and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. Wax Flower, Scabiosa Pods & Green Dianthus Balls
