THIS dress. Straight up Vera Wang perfection, don’t ya think? With over half of the guests flying to Boston for the weekend, Sean + Vanessa knew a city wedding would make the most sense (despite Vanessa’s love of outdoor affairs), so they really went all out to make everyone’s trip one to remember. Thanks to Cambria Grace Photography for capturing all the crazy beautiful details on camera + sending ‘em our way!
Has there ever been a more perfect bouquet than this? Krissy of Pollen Floral Design seriously brought it.
Vanessa says, We agreed that we loved blushes, pinks, and metallics and aimed to create a setting that felt city chic and a bit bohemian, with nods to tradition. Throwing a good deal of the budget toward florals and collecting décor pieces with my mom made my vision come to life. We are decidedly city people but have a love of rich history. During their vows, Sean + Vanessa surprised everyone by pulling out vintage books and reading to each other, alternating line-by-line. So sweet!
Well if these aren’t the cutest Kate Spade shoes we ever did see.
The Millennium Boston Hotel in historic Faneuil Hall is super close to many of Boston’s most iconic spots, and is decked out with big greenhouse-style windows to provide natural light during the ceremony and city lights for the reception…
After the ceremony, my new husband, MOH, Florist, and Photographer went traipsing around Faneuil Hall to the carousel at the Rose Kennedy Greenway to take some shots on the twin lobsters—my vision realized! Sean literally hoisted me onto my lobster in my wedding gown—it was perfect. Walking through our city as newly weds was really fun.
Bridesmaid + very talented friend Maura of Bright Side of Design created all the print design throughout the event.
Check out the gallery below for more, because yeah, there’s way more where that came from…
A few words on the budget, c/o our bride…
It was more than double what we initially hoped to spend. We learned quickly that a city wedding is not wallet-friendly. My advice would be to have open discussion early to set an ideal budget, then know your wiggle room. Start getting quotes on the aspects of the day you feel most strongly about—for us it was photographer, flowers, and food, and they were all sublime.
It sure looks like it! Congrats to Vanessa and Sean!
