Isn’t she darling? That’s Jamie, who Bliss Events enlisted alongside her guy Christopher (and their cute Pomeranian Foxy) to establish a little Valentine’s Day chemistry for a shoot that just so happened to be totally inspired by a donut. They set up camp in the fresh white space at downtown Boise’s The Owyhee and got to crafting a spirited shoot that was “urban, young, and fun”. Spoiler alert: they nailed all three. Ampersand Studios couldn’t have been a better fit, judging by the festive images below!

Bliss Events made sure flowers were arranged through all the rigid shapes to soften the modern edges. Balance is key!
Lindsey of Bliss Events explains, The design board centered around one hugely important element… doughnuts! A white, frosted doughnut with colored sprinkles became the reference point from which all future design choices would be made. Neutral backgrounds and “sprinkles” of carefully chosen hues would build the youthful look we wanted, without bombarding the viewer with color. Tribute was paid to our beloved “Gem State” with crystal candle votives and geodes, whose subtle sparkle was repeated in the sweets table (complete with rock candy, of course!).
Lindsey concludes… Confetti poppers, sugar rimmed drinks, fringed balloons, and DIY piñata letters added elements of whimsy, but Love couldn’t help but be the focus when sunset fell. As our couple posed with the setting sun behind them, showered in the colors that had inspired the day, we were reminded that all of the planning and pinning ultimately leads to that beautiful moment where two people choose nothing but one another; and love each other more than… sprinkles.
