With day jobs as production manager at Jenni Kayne and COO of Apolis, Brooke + Shea’s impeccable style isn’t too surprising. But it turns out, these two also run Meet The Foleys, their event + design studio specializing in styling, florals, and stationery. Ahh—now we see why their mile long DIY list looks anything but! Now, that DIY list…
Shea and I style and plan events through our company, Meet The Foleys, and my mom and I have always loved decorating together, so it was a great combination. We sourced all of the silver lanterns and blue and white vases for the tables during the months leading up to the wedding. We designed all of the stationery and paper goods. The photo backdrop was a few hundred crepe paper wedding bells that we strung together and hung in the photobooth canopy. One of the biggest feats was a group effort: Shea and I, along with our parents, hand-painted the blue and white stripes on custom slipcovers for all of the market umbrellas used during the cocktail hour. We also custom made all of the white burlap runners and striped napkins for all of the guests. The cross used as a backdrop in our ceremony was made my Shea’s dad, a contractor, using reclaimed wood.
Brooke loves the clean + classic look of stripes, so that was a given for the design. They paired them with the lush venue (a family friend’s home) and white flowers with a blue and white accent. Opting for this instead of big arrangements kept things more relaxed. Wouldja guess they had over 1500 tulips flown in for the occasion?! Such beauties!

Shea and I have similar taste and wanted to keep the focus of the day on our marriage, not on a flashy, one-day event, so it came together very naturally. Our parents, family members, and the owners of the house were unbelievably helpful and supportive, which made the experience a joy, rather than a stressful six months. For us, the crafting, building, sourcing, and organizing were not just tasks to check off our list. Getting to plan the wedding with Shea, my mom and dad, and Shea’s parents was so rewarding; it allowed us to grew closer as a family, spending time together knowing we were all working toward such a joyous union.
