Sloane + Chase had a pretty sweet concept for their wedding: ‘An Evening Summer Gathering in the Mountains’—florals looked like they were plucked from a mountainside, the ‘maids sported flower crowns instead of bouquets, and 100 guests sat down to a family style dinner on farmhouse tables. Not a lot of venues could accommodate their outdoor ceremony, games, and dancing so they took to a private cabin to make it all happen. All of their hard work planning turned out seriously beautifully, obvs!
As for images, Sloane says, I fell in love with Alix’s photography a couple of years ago and made sure to save her website and contact info. I love how her photography captures the sense of natural, romantic, and candid moments. She did just that and was wonderful to work with!
(Btw, the bride thought she found ‘the one’ until her mother spotted this gown. Brilliant find!)
Sloane created all the chalkboard signage (she now creates custom wedding signs for other peeps too!), her dad built the wooden arch, and Chase built the corn hole sets.
Don’t these two and their posse have the bestest fashion sense?!
Farmhouse style dinner, check!
From the bride, on the rings + ceremony, Chase had taken our rings to get cleaned and I assumed he had given our rings to our officiant. My husband had MY rings in his pocket but when we went to exchange rings, I looked at him wondering where HIS ring was. I made an announcement that I had forgotten his ring and it caused a good laugh in the audience. Luckily one of his groomsmen slipped off his own wedding band and passed it to my now brother in law (the best man) who then passed it to my husband to use for the ceremony! We laughed about it all night and still do to this day.
Love your laidback attitude, guys! Congrats!
