We’re sure glad photogs Christian + Reinna captured even the tiniest details of Jacyln and Tommy’s bohemian backyard wedding. Hailing from San Diego + Phoenix, their hometowns were the inspiration for their southwestern romance theme, and according to Jacyln, it was the stuff of desert dreams. (We believe it.) They transformed her childhood home into a boho oasis for 250 that rivals even the grandest venues, and the team at Amorology played up the theme with a ton of southwest inspired accents.
This little anecdote made us smile:
When we came out of our church’s ceremony, we were hungry, and went straight to In-N-Out with our entire wedding party, dressed to the nines. We caused quite a stir, but I thought, I’m the bride, and when else can I look this gorgeous eating a hamburger? Love and hamburgers, that’s what it’s all about.
A few deets from Amorology… Playing off of a dreamcatchers theme, we created a backdrop reading “Today is a dream” and used Casa de Perrin‘s gorgeous china, a collection of different vessels, wood menus with laser cut antlers, brass to house Twigg Botanicals succulents, and turquoise rocks.
(Peruse Jacyln’s Pinterest for even more inspo.)
Don’t say we didn’t warn ya about all these sweet details…
The venue, via Jaclyn:
It’s my home, but transformed. The tennis court was metamorphosed into a tented outdoor garden. We brought in grass to cover the floor, draped tapestries lightly over head, just enough to be inside but still under the stars, and a stage for the band was erected.
Our band, the Wayne Foster Band, sang us into the reception, and set the mood for the rest of the party. Our walk down the aisle transitioned right into our first dance. The song was “I Love You Always Forever” by Donna Lewis. We are 90s kids, so an airy and sugary love song was just what we wanted.
Eee! This cake.
Jaclyn says, Once I stepped back and let Heather of Amorology take the reins, I actually got to enjoy my engagement. You’re only engaged for a short time, so be sure to take it all in. Don’t rush through.
Congrats guys! Cakies, stay tuned for more aqua goodness later today. We’re kinda on a roll.
