Every time we see scenes from weddings at Malibu Rocky Oaks we have to pinch ourselves. G + E were right when they said once they saw the breathtaking view there was no going back: a destination wedding was in order. Doing it all from Tennessee, 6 months later they had assembled a a dream team of vendors including Birds of a Feather + Couture Events… who know a thing or two about California weddings.

The perfect setup for 99 guests, no? Danielle of Couture Events explains, Long reception tables with garland draping from end to end lit by antique chandeliers with edison bulbs; family style dinner with a delicious farm to table organic menu; luxurious vintage couches, an eclectic antique gold mirror with each guest’s name handwritten in its’ reflection, and a custom wooden bar for cocktail hour; a dance party that went well into the night with a special tribute to the groom as their wedding day was also his 30th birthday!

About Birds of a Feather, from our bride… She made us feel comfortable and at ease even through our initial time to meet—which says a lot while planning a destination wedding requiring lots of meetings and getting to know vendors vital to making our day everything we hoped for over the phone! And with Jen, you could truly feel the love she has for what she does from the second you speak to her. We knew we were in good hands and trusted her whole-heartedly.
