The dress. The light. The hilltop photos by Annie McElwain… We’re warning ya, you won’t be able to avert your eyes from this vintage wedding any time soon. Jessi is a Canadian TV host (recognize her from E!, The CW, The Style Network, etc.?!) and if you know her you know she’s super fun and stylish. She + Evan knew they had to book Big Daddy’s Antiques the second they walked into the venue—even if it meant having a ceremony on the loading dock (which turned out stunningly btw). It only gets cooler from there: a custom gown + custom bridesmaid dresses, vintage décor, fun touches—shall we begin?
The *incredible* gown (which btw is backless with gold shoulders and a detachable dance-party approved skirt) is Mark Zunino. The ‘maids were all in 5 different custom Pink Tartan ensembles and Jessi’s bridesman went Pharell-style with a cream short suit.
The hilltop photos were taken when they got to sneak away with Annie and enjoy their first moments together as husband + wife.
Jessi tells it, It meant so much to us to have so many friends and family travel long distances to be at our wedding so we wanted everyone to know why their presence was special. We found vintage linen postcards and embossed our names on the front, then put one at each pacesetting with a personal messages written to each guest . It’s funny, of all the things we did at our wedding, those little postcards were the one thing our guests couldn’t stop talking about!
So many deets we had to round ‘em up for the gallery…
Final words from the bride… Shane Brown and his incredible staff worked with us to curate the warehouse so that our guests could sit among the antiques at various magnificent vintage tables and chairs. When we walked into the space that night, lit with candles and old filament bulbs, it really did feel magical!
Seriously, too cool. Congrats to Jessi + Evan!
